Sunday Volunteer Opportunities

Mentorship program for 4th grade students in lower socio-economic schools that teaches Biblically-based leadership traits through relationships, activities, reflection, and dialogue.

Commitment: Once a month on Fridays from 1:00-2:30

Where: Westcliff Elementary School

Dates: Sept 19th, Oct 17th, Nov 7th, Dec 5th, Jan 16th, Feb 6th, March 6th, April 10th, May 1st

Facilitate learning core Gospel elements through Bible teaching, small group, and activities. Opportunities to also help with administration, volunteer coordination, and set-up / clean-up. 

Commitment: 7 Mondays in the fall from 2:45pm - 4:30pm

Where: Tanglewood Elementary School 

Dates: September 29th - November 10th

Serve refugees as they get settled into Fort Worth through helping them form new relationships, adjust to western culture, navigate job markets, and establish new life rhythms. 

Commitment: As needed, expect about once a month. 

Where: Mostly at Monarch Pass Apartments

As a small group (or even just 4-5 people out of the small group): To give encouragement, social capitol, and spiritual mentorship to single moms seeking to establish independent living from government assistance. 

Commitment: Weekly check-ins via text or call, once a month in person hangout. 

Where: anywhere (at transition home, your home, church, playgrounds, ice cream shops, etc)

Dates: 2 year commitment

Client Advocate

• Description: Walk alongside survivors in early healing stages, provide support, and potentially disciple them later.
• Commitment frequency: On-call, as referrals come in; initial training is 10–12 hours over 4 weeks.
• Where: FWBC (in partnership with Phoenix).
• Dates/Time frame: Ongoing; available when referred.

Prayer Advocate

• Description: Join Phoenix’s confidential prayer team to pray monthly for specific girls and situations.
• Commitment frequency: Monthly prayer meetings.
• Where: Multi-church prayer gatherings (organized by Phoenix).
• Dates/Time frame: Ongoing.

Client Advocate

·  Description: Support expectant mothers, walk with them through their pregnancy journey, and share available resources. Training provided by FWPC.

·  Commitment frequency: A few hours per week.

·  Where: Fort Worth Pregnancy Center.

·  Dates/Time frame: Ongoing.

Nurses/ Medical Volunteers (RN, NP, PA, RDMS, MD)

·  Description: Provide pregnancy testing, education, and limited obstetric sonography. Training provided.

·  Commitment frequency: A few hours per week (flexible based on availability).

·  Where: FWPC.

·  Dates/Time frame: Ongoing.

Office Administrative Volunteer

·  Description: Answer phones, greet clients, file paperwork, and assist with office tasks.

·  Commitment frequency: A few hours per week.

·  Where: FWPC.

·  Dates/Time frame: Ongoing.

Hope Room Helper

·  Description: Organize and stock baby and maternity clothing for FWPC clients.

·  Commitment frequency: A few hours per month.

·  Where: FWPC.

·  Dates/Time frame: Ongoing.

Baby Shower Helper/ Host

·  Description: Celebrate and support Hope Class graduates by hosting or helping with baby showers.

·  Commitment frequency: A few hours per month (event-based).

·  Where: Flexible (church, home, or community setting).

·  Dates/Time frame: As scheduled.

Cleaning Crews

·  Description: Serve as a group to clean FWPC facilities on a rotating schedule.

·  Commitment frequency: Once a month or quarterly.

·  Where: FWPC.

·  Dates/Time frame: Ongoing.
